Visión espacial y materialidad
Contemplative sanctuary and community center along Potomac's scenic corridor, crafted with massive limestone load-bearing walls, golden ratio proportions, and sculptural skylights.
Conceived as an enduring sanctuary where the interplay of deep shadows and directed sunbeams governs the contemplative rhythm along Potomac's River Road corridor. Vertical envelope walls were erected from custom-quarried local limestone blocks, establishing a solemn acoustic resonance. The volume intentionally strips away ornate embellishment so that the sheer gravity of raw stone inspires reverence.
